Please read through all of the techniques and experiment with them to find one that you are comfortable with. Not all of the techniques will be beneficial to everybody, some people may have more benefit than others but on the whole most people will gain something from learning to relax.
You can do breathing exercises anywhere. Calm breathing has a slow rate and is done with the abdominal muscles relaxed. Stressful breathing is faster, involves the rib muscles and makes the shoulders tense. Once you have noticed early signs of tension you can prevent anxiety becoming too severe by using relaxation techniques.
